NAME

       spamassassin-maint - perform spamassassin maintenance tasks

DESCRIPTION

       spamassassin-maint  performs  periodic  spamassassin  maintainance, including executing sa-update and sa-
       compile.  It is typically executed via the spamassassin-maintenance.timer timer or cron.

       spamassassin-maint takes no options

RETURN VALUE

       The program generates no output and exits with a zero status if successful.  If unsuccessful,  it  prints
       the output of spamassassin --lint and exits with a nonzero status.

       /etc/default/spamassassin  environment for this and other spamassassin programs
       /var/lib/spamassassin/     Directory containing downloaded updates and compiled spamassassin rules

       Much  of  the  content of spamassassin-maint originated with spamassassin's daily cron script, originally
       written  by  Duncan  Findlay   <duncf@debian.org>   and   subsequently   modified   by   Noah   Meyerhans
       <noahm@debian.org>.  It was converted to a standalone program to facilitate its use outside of cron.
