NAME

pmdafarm - Seagate FARM Log PMDA

DESCRIPTION

pmdafarm is a Performance Metrics Domain Agent (PMDA) which exports metric values for Device Mapper on
       the local system.

This PMDA collects its data through the smartctl(8) utility and requires that the program is installed in
       order to function.

Further details on smartctl and smartmontools can be found at https://smartmontools.org.

INSTALLATION

Install the SMART PMDA by using the Install script as root:

           # cd $PCP_PMDAS_DIR/farm
           # ./Install

To uninstall, do the following as root:

           # cd $PCP_PMDAS_DIR/farm
           # ./Remove

pmdafarm is launched by pmcd(1) and should never be executed directly. The Install and Remove scripts
notify pmcd when the agent is installed or removed.
